Highly respected in the North East the centre has a full clinical detox unit, backed by the requisite level of professional expertise across all areas of treatment.
Each of the property’s 34 single bedrooms is en-suite with a television and high level of comfort. As well as a choice of menus at meal times the centre has an on-site gymnasium, art room and large gardens in which to sit or stroll.
The clinic’s flexible approach means that guests can stay from 1- 12 weeks, during which time residents can spend time in therapy sessions with other clients as well as in one-to-one sessions with a keyworker. These sessions cover factual information about drinking and drug use, look at attitudes towards substances and focus on the personal skills that are needed in order to bring about lasting behavioural change. A Medical Director-led, multi-disciplinary medical team is complemented by nurses, therapists and healthcare support workers.
