Addiction Rehabs in the North West

What are my options?

Finding help with an addiction in the North West is rarely as straightforward as it, perhaps, ought to be.

There is a myriad of options for community support both through statutory organisations and charities, the NHS and privately. The difference between publicly funded options and private ones is often around the level of flexibility. Privately funded options will usually allow you to find what you specifically need, when you need it – but may represent a significant investment.

Often the decision rests on how urgent the need is – if you’ve reached crisis point and are ready to seize the day to begin recovery you may feel finding the necessary funds is, literally, a price worth paying.

FAQs

How quickly can I get into private rehab?

Provided the private detox and rehab clinic you are looking at has availability, admission can usually be arranged within a matter of hours or days. Entry into treatment and the need for an inpatient stay in a specialist clinic often comes at a difficult and stressful time.  Port of Call can help expedite your admission into treatment given our ability to liaise directly with treatment teams and organise assessments, logistics and so forth.

Why do the fees that clinics charge vary so much?

Rehab fees vary based on location, resource, expertise and accommodation.  For instance, a low-cost rehab provider may occupy a secondary site in an area where rents and rates cost less, they will often have less medical resource on site and will likely offer shared rooms too.  A mid-range clinic might command a higher fee if they offer a luxurious environment and have more medical resource on site.  Some clinics, for instance will have a consultant psychiatrist attached to their service; meaning they can treat more complex issues

Where is the closest rehab to me?

There are some 40 private detox and rehab clinics in the UK, so there’s likely to be options close to home.   The Port of Call rehab directory lists some of the clinics we work with which will give you a sense of what is available.  It’s worth calling us though as we can help match your needs with a range of options.  Keep in mind that when you come into rehab, you’ll likely be staying for a number of weeks.  If the most suitable clinic is some distance away, or if you choose to travel out of area for your care, don’t worry – a fresh start without distraction is often the best recourse.  Port of Call can help with logistics if you’re concerned about how to get to the clinic.

What happens at a rehab clinic?

Rehab will likely involve some form of talking therapies or counselling either in group sessions or on a one-to-one basis. These help people to find the root cause of their addiction and begin the process of finding ways to live without drugs or alcohol.

The environments where rehab can take place vary hugely from hotel-like, high-quality facilities, with gyms and dining areas through to more homely settings or even clinical locations.

Rehab often doesn’t cost as much as people fear especially when, for many, it is the key to getting their life back. Costs may begin at around £1,500 per week. Stays of around four weeks may be optimal but successful routes to treatment can be found where budgets do not stretch to that. Please do get in touch to talk through your particular situation.
