Specialist therapies in a picturesque village setting
Offering a quality of care that attracts patients from all over Scotland, this addiction rehab clinic lies in the village of Oldmeldrum in North East Scotland. 14 miles from Aberdeen International Airport and 5 miles from Inverurie Rail Station, the clinic was founded in 1998 and provides residential treatment for up to 13 people, plus a further 10 in secondary care facilities.
Solid and stone built, the centre is run by a specialist team of doctors, nurses and behavioural therapists who are passionate about helping people to overcome their addiction and achieve long-term recovery.
Between 4 and 6 weeks is the normal length of stay for clients, with secondary treatment programmes taking place from 8 to 15 weeks. Participants are offered the opportunity to share their own unique account of how addiction has impacted on their life and the lives of others, encouraged by an expert team who work tirelessly to understand a client’s personal experience and use this to develop an individual care pathway that meets their specific needs. Guidance and support is also offered to family members to help them deal with the consequences of a loved one’s addiction by involving them in prehab arrangements and supporting them throughout the treatment process and beyond.
The clinic is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, the governing body who set standards of quality and safety. We would recommend you visit the treatment centre and meet with the team who will be looking after you. You’ll be given an opportunity to talk with clients who are in treatment and ask them about their own experiences.
